Feedback

“Often there is gradual realisation of a way through an issue, a clarity that was not there, an action to take or a weight off my shoulders – I achieve this but Jenny facilitates it with incalculable skill.”

The Consultancy

The Jenny Biancardi Consultancy is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and much of the consultancy work takes place in Gateshead, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, and the North East of England. The consultancy is run by Jenny Biancardi, with all services provided by her personally - with additional trainers when needed.

Jenny combines being a trainer with over thirty years experience with being a therapist, so that she has a range of skills and resources which ensure that no matter how diverse your needs are, they can be met in an individualised and engaging way.

The consultancy’s orientation is person-centred, trusting that all people have the potential for growth and change. Jenny Biancardi is committed to providing a safe and relaxed learning environment, and to making theory and the learning of skills as relevant and easy as possible: jargon-free and frequently with an experiential component.

Jenny’s Background

Jenny’s training in group psychotherapy provides the core skills of managing group dynamics and understanding the importance of group process: skills useful in working effectively with organisations, and groups. Coaching training helps her with her work with senior managers and executives wanting to be effective inspirational leaders. Psychodrama training provides action techniques, which are often powerful ways of achieving change and getting to the core of difficulties.

Jenny has also worked in the health service as a manager and as a tutor in psychiatry; she was involved in community street theatre in Birmingham; and she has been a member of a Playback Theatre group. She worked for many years at a unit for children with behavioural problems, managing staff and providing therapy. She has managed a unit for people with learning disabilities living in the community, as well as working in traditional psychiatric hospitals with people with alcohol and addiction problems. Jenny has also provided group work and training sessions for the prison service.

Qualifications

Qualifications include: group psychotherapy training; qualified supervisor; qualified psychodramatist and senior trainer with the BPA, from whom she received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004; accredited senior counsellor with the BACP; registered psychiatric nurse; and nurse tutor in psychiatry. Additional training has included: coaching; EMDR; and some NLP.

Jenny is a regular contributor to a variety of conferences, being a guest speaker and running workshops. These have been for universities, international person-centred events, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and the British Psychodrama Association (BPA). She has also run training workshops internationally.
